Christmas

We kicked off the break by picking up Tek and Kim at the airport. Their flight was scheduled to land at 11pm. However, the flight was delayed and didn't land until midnight. So we spent an hour literally sitting on the floor since everything in the airport was closed. It was definitely worth the wait though! We were there waiting with balloons to welcome Tek and Kim who flew all the way from Ohio :)

It was a blast having the whole Fish Fam under one roof!! Fish Family Christmas always starts with Christmas Family Home Evening. This year for our "talent" we did Jingle Bell Cups. You can watch the video HERE.

A new Fish Fam tradition is to go bowling on Christmas Eve in our Christmas sweaters. It's supposed to be an ugly sweater contest, however Brodie and I weren't prepared. We wore our matching Norwegian sweaters and tried to "uglify" them by pinning on bells, bags, and ornaments. It kinda worked. . . but not enough to win the contest.

And of course you can't forget the Christmas PJs.

This pose is known as "the snap". It's an infamous Durant pose.

Christmas morning we made breakfast (eggs a la goldenrod) and then of course opened presents!!

Even though it was cold (it snowed!!) we took an afternoon hike to see the falls.

And the cherry on top was being all together for family pictures. We had our pictures taken in a gorgeous park in Oregon. We don't have all the pictures yet, but here is one that the photographer posted on her website. Such a classic Fish boys picture. And of course Brodie is the one flying through the air :) I just love him!
