August - Clark County Fair

Every year we go with the Fish Fam to the Clark County Fair! The fair is full of animals, the rodeo, rides, yummy foods, and fun shows.

there's a baby in there! 12 weeks pregnant at this point

virtual reality game

my favorite was the llamas - these llamas were "singing" and making all sorts of noise

cute cows who were only a few days old!

This was the funniest game of all - I didn't participate because of my pregnancy, but we all had a laugh watching Brodie and Durant do it! Each person was attached to a bungee and ran as far as they could before getting pulled back. Whoever could attach their bean bag the farthest on the center velcro track was the winner.

August - Lambert Family Reunion

We haven't had an extended Lambert family reunion in several years! My parents hosted and my grandparents, aunts/uncles, and several cousins all came to Washington for a week of fun!

We started our family reunion with a trip to Snoqualmie Falls. Although I have been several times, it was fun to go again and show off the beauty of the PNW to out-of-town guests!

Later in the week, we went as a family to Seattle to see the Blue Angels. We stood on the 1-5 bridge, which was completely closed down, and saw the fighter jets fly right over our heads!

an empty freeway!

the rest of the week mostly consisted of time spent on the lake!

paddle boarding and kayaking with nieces and nephews

beach volleyball

we ended the week with some quick family photos!

July Photo Bomb

We spent the beginning of July in Long Beach at the beach house. We  helped paint the house and celebrated the 4th of July with fireworks down at the beach.

Later in the month my parents came to visit! It's always good to see them in our neck of the woods. We went hiking and attended the Camas car show.

Hike to Cape Horn

beautiful view!

 Back to the Future car

this cutie car was my favorite one

To wrap up the month, we attended Brodie's 10 year high school reunion! It was a fun to meet some of his high school friends and hear about stories from "the good ol' days".

I had to document my long hair because over the summer I cut off 6"! Of course I forgot to take an after shot

June Photo Bomb

June - the most anticipated month of the year!! Both Brodie and I were looking forward to the last few weeks of school and starting summer break. Here are just some tidbits:

Brodie hates it, but I have a collection of "Sleeping Brodie" photos. June is his month of finals, so he was pretty exhausted.

Near the end of the year, the PTA plans a 5th grade end of year party. This year it was at a trampoline jump zone. I was just as excited as the students to go!

celebrating the end of school with a German pancake breakfast!

As soon as school was out, Brodie and I drove to Oregon for a Heppler family reunion. It was a short, two-night stay but totally worth it! Part of the reunion included a fancy dress-up dinner and dance.

Other tidbits included: an early summer hike

celebrating Father's Day with Brodie's grandpa, dad, brothers, and nephews

This Father's Day will be one that I will always remember! Just the day before was the day Brodie and I found out we were expecting our first baby. Click here for the full story!

We were lucky to have Tek and Kim in town for a few days just after Father's Day.
