Fall Fun

Fall is one of my favorite seasons! I love the changing leaves, the crisp air, scarves, hats, sweaters, and even the rain is refreshing. This is what we have been up to this fall!

really bad shadow photo bomb, but we enjoyed the haunted corn maze with the Pratts!

Brodie's cousin, Morgan, got married! Congrats you two!!

fifth grade field trip to the Columbia Gorge
first stop: Bonneville Dam

fish ladder at the dam

second stop: fish hatchery and Herman the giant sturgeon!

third stop: Multnomah Falls

fourth stop: Wakeena Falls

fifth stop: vista house

Brodie and I babysat for a family for 3 days and had a blast! We loved being pretend parents for the weekend. As a thank you, the little boys made us some delicious ghost and pumpkin cookies

we took advantage of the good weather and finished up building benches for our picnic table

all done!

. . . and of course, fall means Halloween! This year we went the Star Wars route - Han Solo and Leia

October is also Harry Potter month! We join together with a group of friends and compete in Harry Potter tasks throughout the month of October. One challenge was a pumpkin carving contest. We carved patronus pumpkins. My wizard is casting a stag patronus and Brodie's wizard is casting a horse patronus. We were pretty excited about how they turned out!

Harry Potter month also included a video challenge. Remember last years video? Well, we made another this year! Yes, the nerdiness just continues. I don't know which one is more embarrassing. . . my dance skills are not up to par, but we sure enjoyed ourselves!
