Meeting Briggen

Because Briggen was born on a Saturday, lots of visitors were able to come by! My mom, Durant, Cohan, and Brodie's parents came by on that first day.

By evening, we were exhausted and ready to rest. Unfortunately, Brodie started to feel really sick. He was throwing up and felt a migraine developing. To play it safe, Brodie drove home. We wanted to protect Briggen from possible contagious germs, and knew that a night in a comfortable bed would help Brodie's migraine. Brodie's brother (Durant) stayed at the house to take care of him, and my mom stayed overnight with me in the hospital.

We survived the first night in the hospital!

Luckily, Brodie felt much better the next day! He joined us at the hospital and brought Durant with him. That second day we had several visitors - Emily with the boys and Derek/Faye. In between visitors, we watched the Olympics, slept, and went for very short walks around the hospital.

We left for home on Monday, February 26th. Although I was excited to be home, I wasn't in a hurry to leave the hospital. The food was delicious, the nurses were wonderful, and everything we needed was right at our fingertips.

My mom stayed for several days, which was heavenly! We couldn't have done it without her. Thank you, mom, for everything!
