Happy St. Patty's Day! It was a spontaneous and sunny weekend.

We. . .

1. Went to the train tracks to flatten coins.

Here's what you do. Place a coin on the railroad track, let the train run over it, and then pick up your newly flattened coin :) Stacey, Victoria, and I went late at night to the train tracks to party and flatten us some coins. Then we ran into some trouble with surveillance.

It started with our attempts to plank across the tracks.

Over the PA: "Please get off the tracks.If you do not remove yourself,

the police will be called and you will be arrested."

no joke.

At first we didn't take them seriously.

"This is your last warning. Get off the tracks or you will be personally removed.

You are under surveillance!"

We booked it outta there! but not without our coins :)

2. Then spontaneously stopped at the "ten pin bowl" club for a round of bowling.

Barely pulled it together at the end with a double strike.

phew. . . I was starting to get embarrassed!

3. Took a trip to Takapuna beach the next day

we re-enacted some of our half marathon battle scenes

as this was the very beach!

and apparently it's a very dangerous beach. falling rocks and toxic water.

4. Visited downtown Auckland for St. Patrick's Day and went "op shopping"! There is a road called "K Road" that is full of vintage thrift stores. I was veerryy happy about that.

5. Went to our home ward for the last time :( Took some family pictures and visited the bishop.

And now we've reached the final stretch! Our paper chain is getting so small.

Only four more days of teaching! eeeeee.

I'm beginning to lose sleep thinking about seeing HUNGER GAMES ON THURSDAY.

Temple trip to Hamilton is only five days away.

The end of homework and lesson planning is so close it's almost painful.

I'm a happy camper!!
