We put on cold wet suit jumpers, booties, helmets, and gum boots and floated down the black water through the Waitomo caves.
life doesn't get any better.

The special thing about these caves is that there are thousands of glow worms that just hang from the ceiling. So. Cool. There were some waterfalls inside the caves we had to jump off of, which makes it sound all that more adventurous. You put your tube around your rear, stand backwards, and then jump off! And remember to keep your mouth closed :)

The whole inside felt just like Disneyland. . .we turned off all our headlamps and floated down in the dark with the worms glowing. Just like space mountain or the peter pan ride. none of which includes floating down a river, but that's what it reminded me of.
